A drug-positive urine specimen will not generate a coloured line in the specific test line region of the strip because of drug competition, while a drug-negative urine specimen will generate a line in the test line region because of the absence of drug competition.
To serve as a procedural control, a coloured line will always appear at the control line region, indicating that the proper volume of specimen has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.
The Eco II 14 Panel Cup has built-in specimen validity test to defeat specimen adulteration and built-in extraction ports make sending a specimen to the laboratory easier and cleaner.
With a long expiration date, these cups come with instructions for use, procedure card, reference colour chart for adulterants, and a security seal for a safe delivery of non-negative result samples to the lab.
