Flugs are bonded dense weave cellulose acetate plugs for Drosophila vials and bottles. Flugs (short for Fly Plugs) are said to provide a better barrier to mites than cotton and rayon. Additionally, Flugs offer minimal shedding compared to cotton and rayon as well as reduced evaporation, which keeps food fresh longer.
