Description: The IEC Hot Plates provide a reliable and rugged source of controlled heat for the laboatory. The heating element is recessed and bonded into the underside of the alloy plate for total thermal efficiency. A ceramic board provides insulation and baffle plates ensure that the housing remains cool even after prolonged operation at maximum temperature (400 Deg C). "Simmerstat" control permits continuous adjustment of plate temperature from Warm (Setting 1) to approximately 400 Deg C (Full Setting), but does not hold the plate to specific set temperature. "Thermostat" control permits continuous adjustment of plate temperature, controlling at a specific temperature in degrees as selected on the control knob. Standard model controls up to 300 Deg c maximum. |
