Visi-Blue equipment is excellent for use with blue 480nm excitation samples and SYBR Green, SYPRO Orange and GFP stains. Visi-Blue transilluminators also minimize photonicking of DNA samples. The amber protective cover blocks blue light transmission, allows visualisation of all media above 500nm and protect the filter surface from damage.

White light can be used for viewing coomassie blue stained gels, silver stained protein gels, autoradiographs and microtiter plates. The UV side can be used for viewing ethidium bromide gels. These models use 8-watt tubes.
